Press Release

From the Executive Producer, Mary Cimiluca

We are pleased to announce that our new documentary, Viktor & I, an Alexander Vesely Film, is in final production! Truly, the ‘torch of logotherapy’ continues with the new generation. For the first time in film, we see Viktor Frankl in a unique and personal way through the eyes of those closest to him. While filming, Alex traveled far and wide to interview family, friends and colleagues and the movie provides viewers an intimate glimpse into the life of his grandfather.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will be encouraged and you will be heartened to see Viktor as he lived, loved and believed in the face of the unspeakable horrors he experienced. The film began as a small idea, a small project to capture memories of those who knew Viktor best. With the encouragement of many friends, Alex decided to use his talents to produce a documentary which the world will soon see.

Our current plans for the film are major festival releases beginning with the application to the Sundance Film Festival this month. Following the jurors decisions, we will release it on DVD, Video on Demand, wholesalers and affiliates, most likely May of 2011 during the Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association. Last week, we launched the cinematic website for the film - we would love to hear what you think!
